Summer storage for students
The end of the academic year means the same thing for a lot of students: your dorm room or rented apartment gets cleared out for the summer, and your things — books, bedding, small electronics, kitchen items — need to go somewhere until October. Hauling it all home and back, or paying for a storage unit you’ll only use for a few months, rarely makes sense.
Order for exactly the period you need
When you order storage, you pick the period that works for you — no need to guess the exact date down to the day upfront. If your return to the city slips by a week or two, just extend the period from the app, no new pickup required. We covered exactly how extending works in a dedicated article.
A courier picks up from your room, returns when you’re back
You don’t need to carry boxes to a warehouse yourself. You choose a courier in the app for pickup from your address, and in October, once you’re back, you request the return — to the same address or a new one, wherever you are by then. More on how courier selection works in a dedicated article.
What makes sense to pack
Books, bedding, small electronics, kitchen items, and seasonal clothing are typical contents of a summer student package. What shouldn’t go into storage are personal documents you need day to day, cash, or perishable food — we covered packing in more detail in a dedicated article on preparing your belongings.
Why this beats leaving things at home or in your rental
Leaving your things in a rented apartment over the summer often means paying rent for space you’re not using, and hauling everything home and back is awkward if you study in a different city. Storing for the exact number of months, with courier pickup and return, solves both problems — you only pay for the period you actually don’t need your things.
